Pro All Pass Filter | Combinator Effect for Reason Studios
If you've ever used or heard about Kiloheart's Disperser, then you will know what this is about.
If not, just know that this is a Combinator effect patch, design to phase shift all incoming audio - and the results can be pretty wild. You can use this device on anything, but its typically used on kick drums, bass or percussion to make them hit harder (or stranger).
The best results often lead to - for example - a louder and punchier sounding kick drum, however the transient has been completely re-shaped - providing additional headroom (thus enabling you to make your drums even louder).
Personally, I love the sound it of it and often reach for it when crafting the sound of my drums.
