MelodyMaker Note Generator (Reason 13)
This is a combinator instrument, with controls aimed at providing a unique set of midi generating tools helping you to get to new ideas faster.
The Melody Maker was inspired by the Futurephonics Rhythmizer Midi VST, and provides both random and patterned midi augmentation features. Simply swap out the instrument inside for any other instrument and press any key to start playing like you've never played before.
It's made with stock devices, but does need at least Reason 13.1 to work.
Very briefly;
- The source of the midi is an internal arpeggiator, which outputs notes according to a pattern or via probability.
- The notes generated can then be momentarily adjusted both in terms of pitch and velocity, based upon a pattern and/or via probability.
- You can also adjust the probability to change the rate of the arpeggiator to 1/8 and 1/4 notes.
- If you're using a polyphonic instrument, you can determine the probability that a chord (and its various voicings) will be played
- All notes generated are then quantized to a selected key and scale.
- Lastly, there are dedicated user macros to give you the opportunity to directly control your instrument
Important to know
- Once you swap out the instrument inside, be sure to uncheck Key from the instrument settings in the Editor.
- The Momentary Adjust patterns require the sequencer to be running
Requirements: Reason 13
