This is my online repository of stuff I've made for the Reason Studios platform (including Combinator patches and Guides). Here's what you need to know;
- Most the devices/patches are made using Reason 12. You have to have this version (or higher) installed (or Reason+) in order to use these devices. Any combinators or patches made with Reason 13 - which may include the use of Sidechain Tool, Gain Tool, Stereo Tool, Polytone or Ripley - will be clearly stated.
- All the patches work on both the Reason DAW and Reason Rack Plugin
- The majority of the patches have been made using stock devices or sounds from Reason Studios. There are instances where Reason Rack Extensions (RE) have been used (e.g Polar, Parsec, Process Pianos, Complex-1 etc.) and on one occasion a third party RE has been used (e.g Peff's Buffre). When a Reason RE or 3rd Party RE is required, it will state so in the product description.
A bit about me and plan for this page;
- I am 34 years old, born in Cape Town (SA) and I have been using Reason for approx. 11 years.
- I have two cats - Salem and Twiggy.
- I hope to use my music production knowledge to provide accessible and empowering tools for the avid music producer.
- I have plenty of 'devices' on this site so far, and many, many more planned - all of which either provide something entirely new and different for the Reason Rack, or makes the common tasks so much more accessible (thus enhancing your workflow).
- I am quite active in online communities (e.g ReasonTalk, r/Reasoners and Facebook user groups). Many users have requested tutorial videos - from production tips, Reason specific tips, combinator programming and design - and I plan to diversify and release some of these in the near future.
I hope to make an impact on the Reason community and to help music producers get the sound that they're after - which is why I offer these tools as "pay what you want".
