Grainlink Sampler | Combinator Instrument for Reason Studios
Grainlink is a combinator instrument that comprises of eight (8) "voices" of Grain devices.
There is the option to have the position of each grain voice/layer of the grain randomized and panned hard left and right - creating the perfect environment for wide, detailed and other-worldly moving pads and textures. Most of the patches created lean on this idea. The voices are further divided into an A and B side controlled by the Mix Slider.
Together with a typical amp envelope, simplified mod envelope, LP/BP filter and vast control over the Grain Engine, the front panel provides a clear and easy way to control all layers at once, enabling you to manipulate the patch in whichever way you use choose - and fairly quickly too!
Additionally, there is a "sub" oscillator with a wide range of tones, including an option to play the original sample over the granulized sound engine.
You get 40 patches to get you started, and more available in the upgrade options. However, if you want to make your own patches - simply open the combinator, drag your samples into the grain devices (remember to pitch analyze) and off you go!
Note just a handful of patches require Reason 13 as some of the new samples have been used
